Lyndelle Stonick has demonstrated an outstanding talent in art since early childhood, winning her first award at ten. An adept colorist, she demonstrates a mastery of her medium whether painting in acrylics, pastels, oils, or watercolors . She has also made and sold a line of silver and gold jewelry, exhibited at the Bowers Museum Store.
A Fine Arts Honors graduate from CSUF, Lyndelle moved to Germany in 1982 and stayed on for 7 years. She became a member of the “Kunstlerverein “ and was published in the “Schloss” Exhibition. Condor-Prell Gallery in Cologne arranged a “one-woman” show for her.
Returning to the USA in 1988, Lyndelle was accepted into the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach where she exhibited for seven years. She has been featured in books and in magazines such as Southwest Art and The Pastel Journal, and has given TV appearances. She has written articles on her painting techniques, including one for Daniel Smith. Her expertise is often requested for lectures, demonstrations and judging art shows. Lyndelle has exhibited nationally as well as internationally in prominent galleries and museums, in solo and group shows, as well as frequently placing “First” and “Best of Show” awards, including Best of Show at USPA’s Second Annual Juried Show and First place in the San Clemente Juried Plein Air Competition. Her work is in public and private collections around the globe.
Lyndelle Stonick is also recognized for her teaching ability and gives workshops to various destinations including Artcruise workshops. She has been an Art instructor for Saddleback College since 1995, where she teaches drawing and painting classes. She is also an artist representative for Chroma, Richeson, and Maimeri. She has been an exhibiting member of LPAPA, SOCALPAPA, SCAA, and was the founder, first president, and signature member of USPA Pastel Society.
